You are a Senior Electrical Design Engineer with strong experience in building services electrical design, looking to join a well-established and growing multidisciplinary engineering consultancy delivering complex projects across commercial, residential, healthcare, education, and industrial sectors.

Senior Electrical Design Engineer Skills:

• Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering
  
  
• 6 years’ experience in electrical design within a building services consultancy
  
  
• Strong background delivering electrical designs for complex building projects
  
  
• Excellent knowledge of LV power distribution, lighting, emergency lighting, and small power systems
  
  
• Experience designing fire alarm, data, security, and life safety systems
  
  
• Strong understanding of Irish and UK building regulations and electrical standards
  
  
• Experience using AutoCAD and/or Revit MEP (BIM experience highly desirable)
  
  
• Ability to manage multiple design packages and meet project deadlines
  
  
• Strong technical documentation, report writing, and specification skills
  
  
• Confident communicator with the ability to liaise with clients, design teams, and contractors
  
  

As a Senior Electrical Design Engineer:

• Lead the electrical design of building services projects from concept through to detailed design
  
  
• Prepare electrical layouts, schematics, and coordinated design drawings
  
  
• Design LV distribution, lighting, emergency lighting, and power systems
  
  
• Produce technical specifications, calculations, and design reports
  
  
• Coordinate with mechanical, architectural, and structural teams
  
  
• Review contractor submissions and respond to technical queries
  
  
• Attend design meetings, site visits, and inspections as required
  
  
• Support and mentor junior engineers within the design team
  
  
• Ensure compliance with current safety, quality, and regulatory requirements
  
  
• Contribute to continuous improvement and technical best practice
