With a strong pipeline of electrical infrastructure projects, including HV substations, renewable energy developments and large-scale electrical installations, they are looking for an experienced Senior Electrical Estimator to join their team in Limerick.

The Role: Senior Electrical Estimator
As Senior Electrical Estimator, you will take responsibility for preparing and managing tenders for major electrical engineering projects, including HV substations, wind farms and large-scale industrial and data centre developments.
Based in Limerick, you will work closely with the estimating, engineering, procurement and commercial teams to produce accurate and competitive tenders for electrical packages valued at €10 million and above.
The role involves reviewing technical specifications, carrying out electrical take-offs, obtaining supplier and subcontractor quotations, identifying commercial risks and ensuring tenders are submitted accurately and on programme.
You will also play an important role in supporting the estimating team and ensuring successful tender handovers to the construction and project delivery teams.
Must Have Requirements
You will be an experienced Electrical Estimator with a strong background in pricing substantial electrical packages for major construction or engineering projects.
You should be comfortable managing tenders valued at €10 million and above, interpreting complex electrical specifications and coordinating pricing information from suppliers, subcontractors and internal engineering teams.
Experience with HV substations, renewable energy infrastructure or large-scale industrial electrical installations would be particularly beneficial.
You will have strong commercial awareness, excellent attention to detail and the ability to identify potential risks before a tender is submitted.
You should also be confident managing multiple deadlines, communicating with senior management and supporting less experienced members of the estimating team.

Must Have Requirements
- Minimum 5 years' experience in electrical estimating or electrical engineering within the construction industry
- Proven experience preparing tenders for substantial electrical packages, ideally valued at €10 million or more
- Strong ability to interpret electrical drawings, technical specifications and employer's requirements
- Third-level qualification in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics or a related discipline
- Experience coordinating tender submissions, electrical take-offs, supplier quotations and commercial risk assessments
- Previous experience as a Senior Electrical Estimator or Lead Electrical Estimator
- Experience tendering for HV substations, wind farms or major electrical infrastructure projects
- Background in pharmaceutical, data centre, industrial or large-scale commercial construction
- Experience pricing Design & Build electrical contracts
- Strong knowledge of electrical estimating software and Microsoft Excel
- Experience mentoring junior estimators or coordinating estimating teams
- Prepare detailed electrical estimates and tender submissions for major construction and engineering projects
- Carry out electrical quantity take-offs from drawings, specifications and tender documentation
- Review technical specifications and employer's requirements for HV substations, wind farms and Design & Build electrical packages
- Compile accurate labour, material, plant and subcontractor costs using electrical estimating software
- Manage tender programmes and coordinate submissions with engineering, procurement and commercial departments
- Prepare technical submissions, including inclusions, exclusions, clarifications and proposed programmes of work
- Issue quotation requests to suppliers and subcontractors, reviewing returns for accuracy and completeness
- Identify tender risks, scope gaps, design issues and potential commercial exposure
- Manage multiple tenders simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and meeting submission deadlines
- Attend tender review meetings and contribute to bid strategy and pricing decisions
- Liaise with clients, consultants, suppliers and subcontractors throughout the tender process
- Attend post-tender clarification meetings and support commercial negotiations
- Review tender feedback and identify opportunities to improve estimating accuracy and competitiveness
- Complete detailed tender handovers to the construction team, explaining scope, pricing assumptions, subcontractor quotations and commercial risks
- Support the development of junior estimators and contribute to improvements in estimating procedures
