You are a Senior Engineer – Building Services (MEP) with strong experience delivering multidisciplinary design projects, looking to join a well-established and growing engineering consultancy working across commercial and residential developments from concept through to construction and handover.

Senior Engineer – Building Services (MEP) Skills:
- Degree qualified in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
- 7–10 years’ experience within a building services consultancy environment
- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical building services systems
- Excellent understanding of Irish building regulations and industry standards
- Proven experience leading projects from early concept through to handover
- Ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines
- Strong coordination skills with architects, structural engineers, and external stakeholders
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience liaising with local authorities and utility providers
- Full clean driving licence (site travel required)
- Work with clients and design teams to develop project briefs and concept designs
- Lead the technical design of building services systems including plant sizing, distribution routes, riser layouts, and energy strategies
- Prepare detailed design calculations, drawings, and technical reports
- Carry out value engineering and life-cycle cost assessments
- Coordinate designs with architectural, structural, and multidisciplinary teams
- Liaise with local authorities and utility providers regarding incoming services and plant requirements
- Manage design programmes and ensure deliverables are issued on time and within budget
- Prepare technical specifications and tender documentation
- Undertake site surveys, condition reports, and feasibility studies
- Contribute to health & safety design planning
- Assist with contractor pre-qualification and issue of tender packages
- Respond to technical queries during the tender period
- Review and evaluate tender submissions and prepare technical reports and recommendations
- Review contractor drawings, equipment selections, and programmes
- Attend site meetings and provide technical support during construction
- Respond to RFIs and manage design changes
- Monitor installation quality and progress, issue snag lists, and verify close-out
- Assist with valuations, variations, and final accounts
- Review commissioning data, O&M manuals, and as-built documentation
- Support project handover and completion
- Mentor junior engineers and support their technical development
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of technical standards and design processes
