We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Pre-Construction Manager with a strong mechanical background to play a key role on high-value construction and engineering projects based out of Co. Kildare.
This is a mechanically-driven role involving complex design reviews, cost estimating, and pre-construction planning for mechanical systems across industrial, pharmaceutical, and advanced manufacturing sectors.

Senior Mechanical Pre-Construction Manager Skills:
- Strong mechanical background, with experience in pipework, pumps, utilities, or industrial process systems.
- Proven ability to manage pre-construction activities, including estimating, planning, and feasibility studies.
- Experience leading and motivating technical teams through the pre-construction phase.
- Knowledge of design review processes, P&IDs, mechanical drawings, and construction standards.
- Suitable for candidates with hands-on mechanical experience or a relevant mechanical qualification/engineering degree.
- Strong understanding of cost control, value engineering, and project scheduling.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and client-facing skills.
As a Senior Mechanical Pre-Construction Manager:
- Lead and manage the mechanical pre-construction process from concept to tender submission.
- Review client specifications, designs, and drawings to deliver practical, cost-effective mechanical solutions.
- Prepare detailed mechanical estimates, budgets, and schedules.
- Collaborate with design, procurement, and project delivery teams to ensure constructability and alignment.
- Conduct risk assessments, value engineering, and identify potential issues early in the pre-construction phase.
- Liaise with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to maintain strong working relationships.
- Support mechanical installation planning, testing, and commissioning processes.
- Mentor junior engineers and coordinators, sharing knowledge and best practices.
