The Role – Senior Mechanical Project Engineer This is a key role within the project delivery team, supporting the successful execution of large scale mechanical packages from design through to commissioning. You will play a hands on role in coordinating design, managing technical submittals, overseeing installation quality and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and to specification.
Working closely with project managers, subcontractors and clients, you will be instrumental in maintaining programme momentum while upholding the highest standards across mechanical installation and engineering delivery.

Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all mechanical works are delivered in line with health and safety standards and project requirements
- Review drawings, specifications and technical documentation to fully understand project scope
- Coordinate and manage design reviews ensuring compliance with industry standards and client expectations
- Monitor installation works to ensure quality, accuracy and adherence to programme
- Attend client and design meetings, providing technical input and clear communication across stakeholders
- Manage procurement processes including technical submittals and supplier coordination
- Review specialist subcontractor packages for compliance with design intent and specifications
- Identify and communicate design changes, scope variations and cost implications
- Develop engineering solutions including calculations and technical sketches where required
- Support commissioning planning and coordinate with quality teams on inspection processes
- Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
- 4 years experience in a mechanical project engineering role within construction or building services
- Strong understanding of HVAC, pipework and mechanical systems on large scale projects
- Proven ability to review designs, manage technical documentation and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with clients and stakeholders
- Organised and detail focused with the ability to work to tight deadlines
- Solutions driven with a proactive approach to problem solving on site
