Senior MEP Engineer - Water Treatment Projects

You are an experienced Senior MEP Engineer looking to take the lead on the technical delivery of high-value water treatment projects across Europe. This role is based out of Co Kildare, with travel of up to 30% for project coordination, site visits, and client interface.

You’ll be responsible for managing the complete MEP scope of turnkey projects, from design and technical reviews to commissioning and client handover. The role demands a strong mix of technical expertise, coordination ability, and leadership across multiple project sites.

Senior MEP Engineer Skills:

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services, or a related engineering discipline.
• At least 6 years’ experience in MEP design, coordination, and delivery within industrial or process-based environments.
• Proven track record managing projects through all phases — from design to commissioning.
• Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, electrical distribution, pumps, instrumentation, and control systems.
• Solid understanding of project management principles, including scheduling, budgeting, and contract administration.
• Skilled in AutoCAD and project planning tools like MS Project or Primavera; BIM/Revit experience is a strong plus.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Flexibility to travel across Europe as required (up to 30%).

As a Senior MEP Engineer:

• Lead the full MEP engineering scope from concept through commissioning and client handover.
• Provide technical leadership to internal teams and subcontractors, ensuring design and delivery align with client and industry standards.
• Review and approve mechanical and electrical designs for compliance, performance, and constructability.
• Act as the main MEP point of contact for clients, consultants, and project teams.
• Coordinate closely between mechanical, electrical, process, and civil disciplines to ensure integrated delivery.
• Oversee procurement of key MEP equipment — managing vendor selection, technical evaluations, and logistics planning.
• Maintain strict adherence to all safety, quality, and regulatory standards on every project site.
• Conduct regular site visits (approx. 30% travel) for inspections, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
• Mentor junior engineers and help standardise engineering best practices across the team.
• Contribute to project reporting, risk management, and financial planning.

The Package:

Salary will be DOE, but you can expect a salary of at least €90,000 plus package.
