The Company

Our client is one of Ireland’s leading civil and infrastructure contractors, recognised for delivering award-winning projects across the transport, energy, water, and environmental sectors.

With over 40 years of success, they have a proven track record delivering major highways, bridges, and public infrastructure schemes across Ireland. Their strength lies in combining engineering excellence, safety leadership, and sustainable construction practices to deliver complex projects on time and within budget.

Operating with a highly skilled workforce and in-house resources, they manage projects from design and build through to commissioning and handover, setting the standard for quality and reliability in Irish civil engineering.

They are now seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee a major infrastructure and transport project in the Midlands, joining a team committed to innovation, safety, and performance excellence.

The Role – Construction Manager

As Construction Manager, you’ll take responsibility for the planning, coordination, and safe delivery of a large-scale civil infrastructure project. You’ll manage labour, plant, and subcontractors, ensuring that works are executed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards.

This is a key leadership role for a technically strong, hands-on construction professional who thrives in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all operations are planned and executed in accordance with HSEQ standards and company procedures.

  • Conduct regular site visits to support foremen, engineers, and operatives.

  • Lead preparation and review of Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).

  • Coordinate and manage subcontractors, suppliers, and site resources.

  • Input into and maintain project programmes, budgets, and resourcing plans.

  • Oversee labour allocation, accommodation, and transport logistics where required.

  • Liaise with the plant department to ensure appropriate equipment and materials are in place.

  • Track site outputs and report on performance to estimating and commercial teams.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, engineers, and project stakeholders.

About You
  • Degree-qualified in Civil Engineering or Construction Management, or equivalent experience.

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience within civil engineering, ideally in infrastructure or transport projects.

  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies, safety, and quality control.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.

  • Full Irish driving licence and valid right to work in Ireland (Stamp 4 or Critical Skills Visa).

  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multi-phase projects.

What’s on Offer
  • Salary: €75,000 (depending on experience)

  • Benefits:

    • Company Vehicle

    • Pension Scheme

    • Annual Bonus

    • Accommodation & Travel Support (if required)

    • Life Insurance & Income Protection

    • Professional Development & CPD Opportunities

Why Apply?

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a respected, award-winning civil engineering contractor delivering a major infrastructure and transport project in the Midlands.

You’ll take ownership of key site operations, lead an experienced team, and be part of a company that rewards technical excellence, innovation, and long-term commitment.
