Breagh Recruitment Celebrates Excellence at the Irish Construction Industry Awards 2025

Breagh Recruitment had the privilege of attending the Irish Construction Industry Awards 2025 at the Convention Centre Dublin. It was a memorable evening filled with energy, inspiration and recognition of the best in Ireland’s thriving construction industry.

A Night of Celebration

From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was electric. Project managers, contractors, engineers and consultants came together to celebrate achievements and share ideas for the future.

We were proud to sponsor the Project Manager of the Year award and hand the award to Pat O'Neill of Duggan Brothers, recognising professionals who deliver exceptional results through leadership, innovation and teamwork. Seeing so many talented people shaping Ireland’s built environment highlighted how dynamic and resilient the sector is.

Why the Project Manager Award Matters

The Project Manager of the Year award represents more than recognition. It celebrates professionals who coordinate every aspect of complex construction projects, from budgets and materials to teams and timelines, and who consistently deliver excellence.

At Breagh Recruitment, we know that skilled project managers are the backbone of successful project delivery. By sponsoring this category, we reaffirm our belief that leadership in construction project management drives quality, safety and efficiency across the industry.

Supporting the Construction Industry across Ireland

Breagh Recruitment plays a vital role in connecting leading construction companies with experienced professionals across Ireland and the UK.

Across the Construction and Mechanical & Electrical sectors, we help our clients build high-performing teams that deliver exceptional outcomes.

By sponsoring the awards, we are recognising excellence and investing in the future of the Irish construction sector by championing progress, innovation and sustainable development.

The Irish Construction Market in 2025

It is an exciting yet challenging time for the construction industry in Ireland.

  • The workforce grew by around 3.5% in the year to Q1 2025, reaching approximately 182,000 people, the highest level since 2012.
  • Although housing completions fell by about 7% in 2024, the National Development Plan is driving major investment across housing, transport and infrastructure.
  • The value of Ireland’s building construction industry is projected at €43.4 billion for 2025.
  • Skills shortages and rising costs remain key challenges, creating strong demand for experienced professionals across all disciplines.

These trends make construction recruitment more important than ever. Our mission is to ensure that every client finds the right people and every candidate finds a role where they can thrive.

Highlights from the Evening

Our team took away some key reflections from the awards.

  • Collaboration between employers, contractors and professionals is stronger than ever.
  • The project manager role continues to evolve, embracing digital delivery, sustainability and modular construction.
  • There is genuine optimism across the industry about Ireland’s ongoing growth.

And, of course, the night was a wonderful opportunity to connect with clients, partners and new faces.

Looking Ahead

As the industry continues to grow, Breagh Recruitment remains committed to:

  • Partnering with employers to find and retain the best talent in construction, engineering and infrastructure.
  • Supporting professionals in advancing their careers, whether moving into leadership or exploring new opportunities.
  • Staying ahead of trends in sustainable construction, technology and workforce planning.
  • Continuing to celebrate excellence by sponsoring and supporting events that promote best practice.

We extend our congratulations to all winners and finalists at the Irish Construction Industry Awards and our thanks to the organisers for an outstanding event.
