CAD / BIM Technician Skills:
- Previous experience in water or wastewater design, or a qualification in civil or mechanical engineering.
- Strong AutoCAD skills with a portfolio of clear, accurate, and well-presented drawings.
- Experience with 3D BIM tools such as Revit (Plant 3D / P&ID experience is a distinct advantage).
- Good understanding of BIM execution plans, file naming conventions, and structured workflows for document control.
- Ability to work in an ISO-accredited environment and deliver under tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a wider design team.
As a CAD / BIM Technician:
- Produce high-quality, scaled technical drawings, including layouts for Civil and MEICA installations such as pipework, metalwork, cable containment, concrete structures, roads, and permanent access fabrications.
- Manage and maintain design documentation in cloud-based systems such as Autodesk Construction Cloud, BIM 360, SharePoint, or ProjectWise.
- Collaborate with design engineers to implement BIM standards, ensuring accurate file naming, drawing revisions, and status updates.
- Support the production of intelligent P&IDs and Plant 3D models as part of digital design workflows.
- Take ownership of deliverables, ensuring outputs meet project deadlines and quality standards.
