Contracts Manager – Mechanical & Engineering Projects

We are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to take responsibility for the commercial and contractual oversight of multiple mechanical and engineering projects based in the Cork region.

This role plays a key part in ensuring projects are delivered in line with contractual obligations, regulatory requirements and commercial targets.

You will work closely with senior management, project teams and external stakeholders to manage risk, resolve issues and maintain strong contract governance from award through to completion.

• Strong background in contract administration and commercial management within construction or engineering environments
• Demonstrated experience negotiating contracts and managing contractual risk
• Solid understanding of regulatory compliance and governance requirements
• Ability to review, interpret and manage contract documentation across multiple projects
• Proven problem-solving ability with experience handling contractual disputes or commercial challenges
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
• Clear and confident communication skills when dealing with clients, subcontractors and internal teams
• Degree in Business, Law, Construction Management or a related discipline is preferred
• Experience working alongside project managers and QS teams is advantageous

As a Contracts Manager:

• Oversee the contractual management of mechanical and engineering projects from award to completion
• Review, prepare and administer contracts, agreements and associated documentation
• Support project teams in understanding and applying contract terms correctly
• Monitor contractual performance, identifying risks and opportunities early
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, statutory requirements and internal procedures
• Lead discussions and negotiations relating to variations, claims and commercial matters
• Assist in resolving disputes and supporting issue resolution to protect project outcomes
• Maintain accurate records of contracts, correspondence and commercial decisions
• Provide contractual and commercial advice to senior management and project stakeholders
• Support continuous improvement of contract management processes and controls

The Package: Salary will be DOE, but you can expect a salary of at least €90,000 plus package.
