An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Quantity Surveyor to join a leading electrical contracting company based in Limerick. This is a permanent, full-time position offering the chance to work on a range of prestigious electrical projects across sectors such as data centres, industrial, pharmaceutical, and commercial developments.

The successful candidate will play a key role in managing project costs and contracts from tender through to completion, ensuring maximum commercial value and high-quality project delivery.

This role is ideal for a proactive and detail-oriented professional with strong commercial and contractual expertise, particularly within the electrical or M&E industry. You will collaborate closely with project teams and clients to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Skills:
 
  • 3rd level qualification in Construction Economics / Quantity Surveying 
  • 5+ years experience working on Electrical projects 
  • Knowledge in Contract law 
  • Excelling communication & Negotiating skills 
  • High attention to detail 
  • Eligible to work in Ireland 
  • Full clean driving license 

Project Quantity Surveyor Responsibilities: 

In conjunction with your project team, you will be responsible for the execution of various stages of a project as follows: 
 
  • Manage all commercial aspects of electrical projects from tender through to final account, including budgeting, cost reporting, and profit planning.
  • Prepare and develop accurate BOQs, valuations, and progress applications, ensuring timely and compliant submissions.
  • Oversee subcontractor accounts, valuations, and payments in line with agreed contract and procurement terms.
  • Administer contract obligations, including remeasures, variations, dayworks, and change orders, while identifying and reporting potential commercial risks.
  • Maintain detailed project records and provide accurate financial and progress reports to Project and Commercial Managers.
  • Collaborate closely with the project team and Planning Engineer to ensure accurate scheduling and progress tracking.
  • Negotiate effectively with clients and subcontractors, fostering positive working relationships and resolving commercial issues.
  • Lead by example, mentoring junior team members and upholding company standards in quality, safety, and performance.
 

The Package:

Salary will be DOE, but you can expect a salary of at least €75,000 plus package and more.
