MEICA Project Manager Skills:
- Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline).
- Chartered or working toward professional accreditation.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience managing water or wastewater MEICA projects within a framework environment.
- Strong understanding of construction safety, planning, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Full clean Irish/UK/EU driving licence.
As a MEICA Project Manager:
- Oversee the safe, timely, and high-quality delivery of MEICA projects in line with budget and programme targets.
- Ensure all HSQE systems and policies are fully implemented and maintained on-site.
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure the Safety Statement is available and understood across the team.
- Plan and manage site activities to meet deadlines while maintaining performance excellence.
- Supervise, guide, and mentor site teams, subcontractors, and junior engineers.
- Manage project resources — labour, plant, materials, and subcontractors — while maintaining cost control.
- Liaise with procurement teams to ensure materials and services meet technical requirements.
- Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure best value while maintaining quality standards.
- Obtain and manage all necessary permits and regulatory approvals.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and project stakeholders through regular updates and meetings.
- Monitor and report on project performance — progress, programme, finance, safety, and risk — to senior management.
- Coordinate temporary and permanent works designs and ensure proper certification.
- Manage project variations, changes in scope, and ensure compliance with contract obligations.
- Support project financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting in collaboration with quantity surveying teams.
- Contribute to client progress reports and maintain project documentation to company standards.
- Foster long-term client relationships and support new business opportunities through high-quality delivery and communication.
