This role sits within a newly established division, so it’s a great opportunity to play a key part in shaping how the facilities management function is delivered based out of Co Kildare.

You will be responsible for the day-to-day operations and upkeep of client facilities, making sure all services are provided in line with contractual obligations, safety requirements, and performance standards.

The position covers the full scope of facilities management, including hard and soft services, vendor coordination, staff supervision, budget control, and client relationship management. It’s a hands-on role that requires strong organisational and leadership skills, with a focus on delivering reliable, efficient, and safe services that meet client expectations and support the growth of the new division.

Facilities Manager Skills:
  • A degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years in a management role with an outsourced FM provider.
  • 10+ years’ experience in facilities or property management, ideally within outsourced FM.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing) and FM best practices.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Confident communicator with strong client-handling and negotiation skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.

As a Facilities Manager:
  • Oversee the delivery of facilities services (hard and soft) – this includes mechanical, electrical & power systems, cleaning, security, landscaping, pest control, catering, and waste management.
  • Carry out regular inspections and audits to keep everything safe, compliant, and running smoothly.
  • Monitor building systems and infrastructure to make sure performance stays on point.
  • Coordinate planned and reactive maintenance, making sure issues are dealt with quickly.
  • Ensure all service requests are handled efficiently.
  • Manage on-site FM staff (supervisors, technicians, cleaners, etc.) – assigning tasks, monitoring productivity, and supporting performance.
  • Coordinate with contractors and service providers to ensure quality delivery.
  • Review vendor performance and escalate where necessary.
  • Act as the main point of contact for the client on all FM matters.
  • Attend client meetings, present reports, and resolve issues as they arise.
  • Drive customer satisfaction through consistent service delivery.
  • Ensure all operations follow local regulations, health & safety rules, and environmental standards.
  • Carry out risk assessments and put mitigation plans in place.
  • Oversee emergency preparedness, fire drills, and HSE training.
  • Keep track of budgets, expenses, and resources.
  • Provide monthly reports on maintenance, KPIs, and incidents.
  • Recommend cost-saving measures and improvements.
  • Identify and deliver opportunities for extra works and projects.

The Package:

Salary will be DOE, but you can expect a salary of at least €80,000 plus package.
