You are a Health and Safety advisor with 4 years plus experience, based in Dublin, where you will be championing and managing all aspects of health, safety, and compliance across your new companies operations.

Working closely with both office and site-based teams, you will take ownership of the company’s safety culture, ensuring the highest standards are upheld and continuously improved.

Health & Safety Advisor Skills:  
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and engage at all levels.
  • A positive and proactive attitude with a focus on delivering meaningful improvements in safety.
  • Demonstrated experience in promoting and implementing safety best practices.
  • Sound knowledge of Irish health and safety legislation and its practical application.
  • Experience with health and safety management systems and incident investigation techniques.
  • A recognised qualification in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.
  • A relevant degree in Health & Safety, Engineering, or similar discipline.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a health and safety role, ideally within the engineering or construction sectors.
  • Full, clean Irish driving licence.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

As a Health & Safety Advisor:  
  • Promote and embed a strong health and safety culture through ongoing communication and collaboration with all levels of the organisation.
  • Conduct site inspections and audits to identify risks, unsafe practices, and potential hazards; recommend and follow through on corrective actions.
  • Participate in health and safety planning meetings with project and operational teams; lead risk assessments and manage incident investigations and reporting.
  • Organise, schedule, and track safety training programs (both mandatory and refresher), ensuring compliance across the business.
  • Develop and circulate toolbox talks, safety alerts, and training materials to support continuous improvement.
  • Drive and lead safety initiatives and awareness campaigns to engage teams and reinforce safety values.
  • Maintain accurate training records and safety documentation, including risk assessments, method statements, and safety statements.
  • Support the implementation and improvement of the company’s safety management system.
  • Provide coaching and support to teams on regulatory compliance and internal safety standards.
  • Oversee emergency preparedness, including fire safety drills and emergency response planning.
  • Conduct and document investigations into any accidents, incidents, or near misses, ensuring timely corrective actions are implemented.
  • Regularly review and update health and safety procedures and policies in line with legislative changes and company growth.
  • Monitor H&S performance through key metrics and reporting to senior management.

The Package:

Salary will be DOE, but you can expect a salary of at least €60,000 plus package.
