The Company This well established Irish mechanical and electrical contractor has built a strong reputation for delivering complex building services packages on major construction projects across Ireland. Operating across commercial, healthcare, residential and specialist sectors, they are known for high standards in quality, safety and programme delivery.
Due to continued growth in the Dublin market, they are now seeking an experienced Mechanical Contracts Manager to take ownership of a significant projects in Dublin and play a key role within the senior project delivery team.
The Role – Mechanical Contracts Manager As Mechanical Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for the full mechanical delivery of a large scale construction project from preconstruction through to final handover. Reporting directly to senior construction leadership, you will oversee programme, cost control, subcontractor performance and stakeholder engagement, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time and to specification.
This is a senior role with real autonomy and influence over project outcomes, quality standards and commercial performance.
Key Responsibilities • Lead the mechanical delivery of a major construction project in Dublin
• Develop and manage project budgets, forecasts and cost plans in collaboration with commercial teams
• Oversee mechanical subcontractors, monitoring quality, productivity and compliance
• Ensure all works are delivered in line with current health and safety legislation
• Manage programme risk, sequencing and coordination with design and construction teams
• Support the management of variations, valuations and cost reporting
• Coordinate procurement and material schedules to align with programme milestones
• Maintain strong working relationships with clients, consultants and internal stakeholders
• Ensure accurate planning, scheduling and progress reporting throughout the project lifecycle
About You • Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering
• 10 plus years experience in mechanical contracting or building services construction
• Proven experience delivering multiple large scale construction projects
• Strong background in mechanical packages on commercial or complex builds
• Excellent understanding of programme management, cost control and subcontractor coordination
• Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills
• Detail focused with a proactive approach to risk and problem solving
• Committed to quality, safety and meeting project deadlines
