You’ll be hands-on with the delivery of water and wastewater treatment plants, covering municipal and industrial installations, drinking water treatment, and pumping stations based out of Co Cork.

Depending on the project, work can be office-based, site-based, or a mix of both. The day-to-day is varied, and tasks will evolve with the project alongside the Contracts Manager.

From early design support to installation and commissioning, you’ll be a key part of the delivery team.

MEICA Project Engineer Skills:  
  • Previous experience in a Mechanical, Electrical, or ICA engineering environment
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate well across teams
  • Good grasp of MS Office; experience with project planning software is a bonus
  • A proactive mindset with an interest in innovative approaches and technologies
  • Willingness to get stuck in and take ownership of your projects
  • Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Automation Engineering (or similar relevant qualification)
  • Full Irish/EU driving licence

As a MEICA Project Engineer:  
  • Full project management of MEICA installations (some minor civils involved)
  • Ensuring safety and compliance are in place from the outset, working closely with the internal HSQE team
  • Supporting the design process and promoting modern, efficient engineering solutions
  • Managing procurement of all project materials and services
  • Creating and maintaining project programmes from design through to commissioning and final handover
  • Acting as the main point of contact with the client and project stakeholders
  • Managing and coordinating subcontractors and direct labour onsite
  • Ensuring works are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget
  • Preparing method statements, reports, and commissioning plans
  • Taking responsibility for O&M manuals, safety files, and all documentation required for handover


The Package:

Salary will be DOE, but you can expect a salary of at least €60,000 plus package.
