MEP Construction Manager

You are a highly skilled MEP Construction Manager looking to join an expanding project team delivering a major Data Centre development in Austria. You will be responsible for overseeing all Mechanical, Electrical, and Public Health systems, ensuring quality, programme, and safety targets are consistently met.

Construction Manager MEP Skills:  

• Minimum 8+ years’ experience in managing MEP works on major construction projects, ideally in the data centre, high-tech manufacturing, or mission-critical sectors.
• Degree or diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or a related discipline.
• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and public health systems installation and commissioning within a data centre environment.
• Proven track record of managing large subcontractor teams, programme control, and delivering projects to tight schedules.
• Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and negotiation skills, with the ability to drive performance and build effective working relationships with project teams and stakeholders.
• Demonstrable commitment to maintaining and promoting a safe working environment.
• English proficiency is essential; German language skills would be advantageous.
• Must have the right to work in Austria or be willing to relocate.

As a Construction Manager MEP:  

• Lead the MEP delivery on-site, from construction through to commissioning and handover, ensuring alignment with project objectives, schedules, and budgets.
• Manage and coordinate subcontractors and direct labour across all MEP disciplines to ensure seamless integration with architectural and civil packages.
• Drive the MEP installation programme, ensuring key milestones are achieved and reporting progress to the senior project team.
• Oversee all MEP installation activities ensuring works are completed to the highest standards, complying with project specifications and industry regulations.
• Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards on site, promoting a culture of safety first.
• Review technical submissions, manage design changes, and collaborate with engineering teams to resolve technical issues promptly.
• Support the commissioning process, coordinating with commissioning agents and client representatives to achieve system handover in line with project requirements.
• Maintain regular communication with the client and stakeholders, providing progress updates, addressing concerns, and managing expectations.
• Ensure accurate and timely reporting including daily reports, progress updates, snagging lists, and handover documentation.

The Package:

Salary will be DOE, but you can expect a salary of at least to €110,000 plus package.
