The Role, Project Manager
As Project Manager, you will take full responsibility for the delivery of civil engineering projects involving structures, bulk earthworks, drainage, groundworks and associated infrastructure works in Dublin. You will lead site teams, manage subcontractors and coordinate with commercial and technical teams to keep projects moving safely and efficiently.
This is a senior role suited to someone with over 15 years of construction and civil engineering experience who can bring strong leadership, technical understanding and programme control to a busy project environment. You will be expected to drive standards on site, maintain clear reporting lines and ensure the project is delivered to the highest level in terms of safety, quality and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage the day to day delivery of civil engineering projects across structures, earthworks and infrastructure packages
• Lead project planning activities and ensure all works are delivered in line with programme milestones
• Oversee site teams, engineers, foremen and subcontractors to maintain productivity and coordination across all work fronts
• Drive a strong health and safety culture and ensure full compliance with project procedures, method statements and permit systems
• Monitor quality standards across all civil works including concrete, drainage, groundworks and structural elements
• Coordinate closely with commercial teams on budgets, progress, variations and resource planning
• Maintain regular communication with the client, design team and key stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
• Prepare and review project reports, short term programmes, lookaheads and progress updates for senior management
• Identify risks early and put practical solutions in place to protect programme, budget and quality
• Ensure works are delivered in line with specification, contract requirements and company standards
About You:
• Have a strong civil engineering background with proven experience delivering structures, earthworks and infrastructure projects
• Have at least 15 years of experience in construction, civils or infrastructure delivery roles
• You will have experience working as a Project Manager or in a senior site leadership role on large scale civil engineering projects
• Be confident managing engineers, supervisors, subcontractors and direct labour on busy sites
• You will have strong technical knowledge of groundworks, reinforced concrete, drainage, roads or heavy civils packages
• Be organised, commercially aware and capable of managing programme and reporting requirements
• You will have a practical leadership style with the ability to solve problems and keep teams focused on delivery
• You will be committed to maintaining high standards in safety, quality and client communication
• A degree in Civil Engineering or a related construction qualification will be advantageous
