The Role: Project Manager
This Project Manager role is based on a major residential development in North Dublin, Co Dublin. You will take full responsibility for the successful delivery of the project from construction phase through to completion and handover.
Reporting to the Contracts Manager, you will oversee site operations, manage programme delivery, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure all works are completed safely, on time, and within budget. The role requires strong leadership skills and previous experience delivering residential construction projects for a main contractor or civil engineering contractor in Ireland.
The successful Project Manager will work closely with the commercial team, site management team, design consultants, and client representatives to drive project performance and maintain high standards throughout the build.
Must Have Requirements:
• Must have 8 years' experience in a Project Manager role within the Irish construction industry
• Proven experience required delivering residential developments from groundworks through to completion
• Experience with a main contractor or civil engineering contractor in Ireland is required
• Strong understanding of construction programmes, subcontractor management, and project delivery
• Excellent knowledge of Health & Safety and quality management systems
Preferred Experience:
• Experience on large-scale housing developments preferred
• Engineering or Construction Management qualification beneficial
• Strong client-facing and stakeholder management experience
• Proficiency with project reporting and construction management software
Nice to Have:
• Chartered status or professional membership
• Experience delivering infrastructure associated with residential developments
• Temporary works coordination experience
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the delivery of a large residential development in North Dublin, Co Dublin
• Manage all site activities to ensure programme milestones are achieved
• Coordinate subcontractors and direct labour across multiple work fronts
• Monitor project progress and implement recovery plans where required
• Work closely with the commercial team to maintain budget control
• Ensure quality standards are maintained throughout the project lifecycle
• Drive Health & Safety compliance across all site operations
• Chair site meetings and coordinate with consultants and client representatives
• Prepare regular progress reports for senior management
• Manage project risks and ensure effective resolution of technical issues
• Support successful project handover and close-out processes
About You
You will be an experienced Project Manager with a strong background delivering residential construction projects in Ireland. You will be comfortable managing large site teams, coordinating multiple subcontractors, and maintaining programme delivery on complex developments.
You will possess excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across site, commercial, and client teams. Strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving are essential for success in this role.
