QA/QC Engineer – Mechanical & Piping Projects

We are seeking an experienced QA/QC Engineer to take ownership of quality assurance and quality control activities across mechanical fabrication and site-based engineering projects.

This role plays a critical part in ensuring all works are delivered in full compliance with project specifications, regulatory requirements and industry standards.

You will lead the quality function across workshop and site environments, driving a strong quality culture while maintaining robust documentation, inspections and continuous improvement processes.

• Relevant mechanical, quality or engineering qualification
• Minimum 4 years’ experience in a QA/QC or quality engineering role within mechanical, piping or fabrication environments
• Strong knowledge of piping systems, isometrics and P&IDs
• Experience working with Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), Quality Plans and project specifications
• Knowledge of ISO9001, ISO45001 and EN 1090 standards
• Experience managing welding documentation and RWC requirements
• Additional inspection qualifications such as paint and coatings inspection are advantageous
• Strong IT skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage site teams, inspectors and clients

As a QA/QC Engineer:

• Establish, maintain and continuously improve quality documentation throughout the project lifecycle
• Maintain accurate records including certificates, calibration results, inspection requests, NCRs, site instructions and observations
• Ensure all works are delivered in full compliance with drawings, specifications, technical submittals, manufacturer recommendations and regulatory requirements
• Manage quality control activities within a fast-paced fabrication workshop environment
• Prepare and implement project-specific Quality Plans to meet client and contract requirements
• Lead and promote a strong quality culture, setting benchmarks and driving continuous improvement
• Ensure ongoing compliance with industry standards, codes and certification requirements
• Maintain records of permanent materials, test plans and QA/QC documentation
• Carry out regular site visits to monitor quality standards and verify installation compliance
• Review installations against company Quality Procedures and Inspection & Test Plans
• Coordinate handovers, site walk-downs and snag list development with project teams
• Manage third-party inspections and NDT contractors to ensure project requirements are met
• Monitor customer feedback and address quality concerns promptly to improve project delivery

The Package: Salary will be DOE, but you can expect a salary of €60,000 plus package
