The Company

This contractor is a recognised leader in delivering large scale data centre and mission critical construction projects across Ireland and mainland Europe. Known for its collaborative culture and technical capability, the business specialises in fully integrated mechanical, electrical and controls packages on complex developments.

With multiple live projects and a strong forward order book, they are expanding their Building Management Systems team to support ongoing data centre delivery.

The Role – BMS Engineer

As a BMS Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, coordination and support of Building Management Systems across a major data centre project. Working closely with the MEP and commissioning teams, you will ensure all controls systems are installed, configured and integrated in line with design and programme requirements.

This role offers hands on involvement in panel installation, field device integration and system configuration on a technically demanding project where accuracy and attention to detail are critical.

Key Responsibilities

Support the installation and integration of BMS systems across HVAC and critical plant
Review BMS design drawings, specifications and control schematics
Coordinate with mechanical and electrical subcontractors to ensure correct installation of sensors, actuators and control panels
Assist with point to point testing and system validation
Identify and resolve installation or integration issues
Ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards
Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports
Support commissioning and client handover activities

About You

• Background in BMS, controls, electrical or building services engineering
• Experience working on commercial, industrial or data centre projects
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems, plant rooms and controls integration
• Familiarity with BMS platforms such as Siemens, Trend, Schneider or similar
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and wiring diagrams
• Good communication skills and ability to work within a fast paced site team
• Detail focused with a strong emphasis on quality and safety
