As part of a forward-thinking and experienced team, you will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and competitive tenders for mechanical services, ranging from HVAC, plumbing, and heating systems to energy-efficient and sustainable solutions based in Dublin.
You’ll work on a diverse portfolio that includes residential developments, commercial builds, healthcare, and utility infrastructure projects.

Mechanical Estimator Skills:
- 3+ years' experience in a Mechanical Estimator role within the building services or M&E contracting sector.
- Strong technical understanding of HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems in both residential and commercial builds.
- Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Excel. Experience with packages like Ensign, Bluebeam, or similar an advantage.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and organisational abilities with a keen eye for detail.
- Relevant qualifications in Mechanical Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Building Services, or Construction Management.
- Familiarity with Irish building regulations and industry standards.
- Experience working on residential developments, commercial projects, or public infrastructure tenders.
As a Mechanical Estimator:
- Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for mechanical works including HVAC, plumbing, heating, and energy systems.
- Analyse drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive take-offs and pricing.
- Work closely with the pre-construction team, project managers, and engineers to develop tender strategies and win work.
- Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive quotes and identify value engineering opportunities.
- Prepare tender summaries and risk assessments for review by senior management.
- Assist in post-tender negotiations and handover of successful bids to the project delivery team.
- Track market rates and labour/material trends to maintain a reliable cost database
The Package:
Salary will be DOE, but you can expect a salary of at least €60,000 plus package.
