Senior BIM Engineer - Hybrid Role

You are an experienced Senior BIM Engineer who will join the design team, working on major water and wastewater treatment design-and-build projects where you’ll be collaborating closely with Mechanical, Electrical, Process, and Civil Engineers to produce accurate and detailed 2D and 3D designs using Autodesk products.

This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, with time split between the office in Galway and working from home. There will be occasional site visits across Ireland.

Senior BIM Engineer Skills:

• A third-level qualification in BIM, Engineering, or Construction.
• Certified training in 2D and 3D Autodesk products, or strong equivalent experience.
• Solid experience with AutoCAD, AutoCAD Plant 3D, and Revit.
• Minimum 2 years’ post-graduate industry experience.
• Strong knowledge of BIM and BS1192/ISO19650.
• Experience working with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) or similar CDEs.
• Attention to detail and a practical understanding of MEP construction methods.
• Experience with Revit family creation, data integration, and Dynamo (a bonus).
• Understanding of Irish BIM standards.
• Previous multidisciplinary project experience, ideally with exposure to civil and MEP design.
• Water/wastewater industry experience is an advantage but not essential.
• Strong general IT skills (MS Office).
• Full, clean Irish/EU/UK driver’s licence.
• Excellent written and spoken English.

As a Senior BIM Engineer:

• Create data-rich 3D Revit models and 2D drawings for Mechanical, Electrical, and Civil packages, including general arrangement drawings and P&IDs.
• Make sure all designs and drawings meet internal, client, and industry standards.
• Prepare and maintain drawing registers, transmittals, and other project documentation.
• Lead BIM coordination activities, including model integration, QA checks, and clash detection in Navisworks and ACC.
• Support the control of project documents in line with ISO procedures and BIM protocols.
• Carry out site surveys, laser scanning, and model updates using point cloud data.
• Create and maintain Revit families.
• Work closely with other disciplines to ensure seamless coordination.

The Package:

Salary will be DOE, but you can expect a salary of at least €65,000 plus package to include pension, education assistance, life assurance, income protection & more.
