About the Role: A highly respected and long-established construction contractor is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their growing commercial team based in Cork. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert advice on contractual and commercial matters across multiple projects
- Manage subcontractor packages and oversee payments to suppliers, consultants, and subcontractors
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and strategies to maximise revenue
- Produce detailed internal valuations, forecasts, and monthly cost reports
- Monitor project budgets and control cost variations
- Negotiate terms and agreements with subcontractors and key stakeholders
Candidate Requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years’ post-graduate experience with a main contractor or developer
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
- Proven success working on large-scale construction projects, particularly in the commercial or residential sectors
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
