Senior Electrical Engineer – Data Centre Projects You are an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer with a strong background in high-voltage and low-voltage power systems, substations, and mission-critical infrastructure, looking to work on large-scale data centre projects across Germany. This role offers the opportunity to take technical ownership of complex electrical systems from design through commissioning on high-profile international projects.

The data centre division is experiencing significant growth and is delivering hyperscale and colocation facilities across Germany and wider Europe. The team provides full lifecycle electrical engineering services including detailed design, HV/LV systems engineering, protection studies, commissioning and handover, working closely with clients, designers, OEMs and construction teams on site.

Senior Electrical Engineer – Data Centre Projects Skills: Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
Minimum 5 years’ experience working as an Electrical Engineer on HV/LV projects.
Strong experience within data centres, power infrastructure, renewables or large-scale industrial projects.
Proven experience developing and reviewing schematic drawings and single-line diagrams (SLDs).
Hands-on experience with HV system studies including protection coordination, arc flash, load flow, fault level and voltage regulation studies.
Experience with GIS and AIS substations, including pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.
Strong knowledge of HV and LV equipment, protection and control systems.
Ability to prepare and interpret technical specifications, enquiry documentation and design reports.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise with clients, design teams, contractors and site personnel.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Comfortable working in a site-based, fast-paced project environment.
Experience supervising engineers and technicians during design and delivery phases.
As a Senior Electrical Engineer – Data Centre Projects: Take responsibility for the detailed electrical design of HV and LV systems for large-scale data centre projects.
Develop and review electrical schematics, SLDs, layouts, and protection and control philosophies.
Carry out HV system studies including protection coordination, arc flash analysis, load flow and fault level calculations.
Support specification, technical evaluation and procurement of electrical equipment and packages.
Oversee pre-commissioning, testing and commissioning of substations, switchgear and associated systems.
Manage technical queries on site and provide engineering support to the wider project team.
Prepare method statements, risk assessments, technical reports and progress documentation.
Coordinate with clients, consultants, OEMs and subcontractors on all technical electrical matters.
Monitor progress against programme and contribute to project reporting and planning activities.
Support the preparation of construction, approval and as-built drawing packages.
Ensure all works comply with project safety, quality and regulatory requirements.
Contribute to project handover, documentation and final commissioning activities.
Support continuous improvement initiatives within engineering and project delivery teams.
The Package: Salary will be dependent on experience, but for a strong Senior Electrical Engineer you can realistically expect:
€90,000 – €115,000 base salary
Rotation options (e.g. 10 days on / 4 days off or 3 weeks on / 1 week off)
