Mechanical Engineer Skills:
- Proven experience in mechanical and electrical contracting environments
- Design management experience, including selection of plant, materials and submittals
- Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems, pipework, and mechanical services
- Experience managing project installation works through to final commissioning and handover
- Ability to assess and manage projects commercially, including cost validation and change management
- Excellent organisation, communication and time management skills
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project
- Experience on Data Centre projects is highly desirable
- Manage client communications relevant to mechanical scope
- Coordinate design and construction activities with contractors to ensure services fit together
- Prepare method statements and risk assessments for construction activities
- Complete all HVAC deliverables within project and safety criteria
- Communicate with the project team to sequence installation of pipework and equipment to meet scheduled dates
- Manage technical procurement of equipment, specialist subcontractors and suppliers
- Assist in managing project installation works to maintain high standards of workmanship and adherence to programme
- Document and cost changes to the work scope, supporting monthly valuations and final account preparation
- Support final commissioning and handover activities to ensure successful project completion
