Mechanical Lead – Data Centre Projects

This is a senior, technically strong delivery role, suited to an experienced mechanical professional who can lead teams on complex, high-value MEP packages and drive projects through construction to high-quality completion.

You’ll be working closely with contracts managers, site engineers, design teams and subcontractors on major turnkey data centre builds, ensuring safe, efficient and commercially successful delivery.

Mechanical Lead Skills:

• Strong background in mechanical building services (HVAC, pipework, plant, utilities)
• Proven experience leading Mechanical or MEP teams on large-scale construction projects
• Demonstrated experience delivering Data Centre MEP projects
• Strong understanding of procurement and supply chain management
• Experience in scheduling, programming and construction sequencing
• Commercially astute, with the ability to identify cost efficiencies and value engineering opportunities
• Strong knowledge of drawings, specifications and construction methodologies
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Strong focus on health, safety and quality standards

As a Mechanical Lead:

• Lead and manage a team of Mechanical Engineers and site personnel
• Oversee mechanical installation works, ensuring quality, programme and specification compliance
• Propose design and specification changes to improve cost efficiency, constructability and quality
• Coordinate with contracts managers, site engineers and other discipline leads
• Ensure drawings and specifications are fully understood by site teams
• Identify and formally communicate design errors, omissions or clashes to the design team
• Establish project resource requirements and lead, motivate and manage the mechanical team
• Monitor workmanship and materials to ensure the highest quality standards
• Maintain and promote the highest standards of health and safety on site

The Package:

Salary will be DOE, but you can expect at least €85,000 plus package, depending on experience.
