Mechanical Project Engineer – Data Centre

Skills:

• You will have a strong background in mechanical building services engineering, with experience delivering projects in commercial, industrial, pharmaceutical or data centre environments.
• You will be comfortable reviewing and coordinating mechanical design and installation drawings, preparing and assessing technical submittals, and walking down mechanical systems to ensure compliance with specifications.
• A good level of commercial awareness is required, including an understanding of cost control, variations and take-offs.
• You will have solid knowledge of health, safety and environmental systems, strong organisational and document control skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy site environment.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate with subcontractors, consultants and internal teams are essential.

As a Mechanical Project Engineer:

• You will coordinate mechanical design documentation and drawings, attend project handover and technical coordination meetings, and identify value engineering and cost-saving opportunities.
• You will prepare and review coordinated drawings across mechanical, electrical, sprinkler and structural elements, review specifications and ensure technical submittals are compliant, and support weekly progress reporting.
• You will assist with procurement activities including requisitions and purchase orders, verify materials and equipment deliveries to site, raise and track RFIs with design teams, and liaise closely with subcontractors and consultants.
• You will prepare method statements and risk assessments, carry out quality inspections, snagging and system walkdowns, populate and track test packs through commissioning, and support final handover.
• You will also provide guidance and support to junior engineers and graduates on site.

The Package:

Salary will be DOE, but you can expect a salary of  at  least €75,000 plus package.
