Mechanical Project Manager – Mission Critical Projects

Are you a Mechanical Project Manager looking to take full ownership of major, technically complex projects in a fast-paced, high-performing environment?

We’re working with a well-established contractor delivering large-scale mechanical packages on mission-critical projects across Dublin.

This role will suit an experienced Mechanical Project Manager who is comfortable leading teams, managing subcontractors, driving programme certainty and maintaining strong commercial control from pre-construction through to final handover.

You’ll be given real autonomy on site, backed by a strong commercial and engineering support structure, and long-term project security.

Mechanical Project Manager Skills:

• Proven experience delivering large mechanical packages on complex construction projects with at least 10 years of experience.
• Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, pipework, plant rooms and associated mechanical systems
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary site teams and subcontractors
• Excellent programme management and sequencing capability
• Strong commercial awareness with experience managing variations and cost impacts
• Confident communicator with the ability to manage client and stakeholder expectations
• Strong understanding of site health, safety, quality and environmental requirements
• Experience on data centres or other mission-critical projects is a strong advantage

As a Mechanical Project Manager you will:

• Take full responsibility for the mechanical scope of works from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover
• Plan, organise and control site activities to ensure works are delivered safely, on programme and within budget
• Lead and mentor engineers, package managers, supervisors and foremen on site
• Coordinate closely with design teams and subcontractors to ensure buildability and technical compliance
• Manage weekly and short-term planning, including lookaheads, labour planning and sequencing
• Oversee subcontractor performance, productivity and quality of installation
• Drive progress through daily and weekly work plans and site reporting
• Manage and capture variations, delays and changes in conjunction with the commercial team
• Chair and contribute to site coordination meetings with internal teams and subcontractors
• Maintain a strong QHSE culture across all mechanical works
• Produce clear, accurate weekly progress and commercial reports

The Package:
Salary is at least €90,000 DOE, plus a strong overall package.
