We are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to join a long-term industrial energy project in East Cork.
This role sits within a well-established engineering and construction contractor delivering specialist mechanical services across the energy, natural resources, utilities, and industrial sectors in Ireland and internationally.
As Mechanical Supervisor, you will take responsibility for supervising mechanical operatives and subcontractors carrying out pipework installation, modification, and repair works within a live operational environment.
You will play a key role in planning daily activities, coordinating site resources, maintaining high standards of workmanship, and ensuring all works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with permit-to-work systems and project specifications.
This is a site-based role offering long-term stability, exposure to technically challenging energy infrastructure works, and clear progression opportunities within the industrial and energy sector.

Mechanical Supervisor Skills:
- Trade-qualified in Mechanical Fitting, Pipefitting, Torque/Tensioning, Tubing or similar discipline
- Proven experience supervising mechanical works on industrial or energy projects
- Strong knowledge of valve installation, bolting, large-bore piping, and small-bore tubing
- Ability to read and work from ISO drawings
- Excellent understanding of permit-to-work systems in live operational environments
- Strong communication skills with the ability to lead teams and produce daily production reports
- Previous experience in oil & gas, energy, petrochemical, water, or pharmaceutical environments
- Supervise and coordinate mechanical operatives and subcontractors on site
- Manage pipefitting activities including installation, modification, and repair work
- Clearly define daily expectations and work scopes with site teams
- Plan and monitor daily activities against the programme
- Ensure all works are carried out safely and in accordance with permit-to-work requirements
- Maintain high standards of workmanship and quality
- Liaise closely with site management and client representatives to ensure minimal operational impact
- Promote and uphold a strong safety culture across all site activities
