Mechanical Supervisor - HVAC & Mechanical Systems

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to join a leading mechanical services team based in Dublin. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the design, installation, and coordination of mechanical systems, ensuring HVAC, plumbing, and other mechanical works are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest standards.

In this role, you will supervise multidisciplinary teams on site, monitor contractors’ activities, and liaise with project management to ensure projects meet contractual, quality, and safety requirements. This is a permanent, full-time position offering excellent career progression and exposure to complex mechanical services projects.

Mechanical Supervisor Skills:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience managing large-scale construction projects and multidisciplinary mechanical teams
  
  
• Strong leadership and team management skills
  
  
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical thinking, and decision-making abilities
  
  
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
  
  
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  
  
• Full, clean Irish driver’s licence
  
  
• Safe Pass and Manual Handling certifications
  
  
• Additional professional qualifications in Engineering or Construction/Project Management desirable but not essential
  
  

As a Mechanical Supervisor:

• Ensure the safety and health of all personnel on site
  
  
• Actively promote compliance with the Construction Health and Safety plan
  
  
• Review contractors’ method statements, SPAs, and permit applications to ensure all risks are assessed and control measures implemented
  
  
• Participate in weekly Safety/Coordination meetings
  
  
• Fully understand contract scope, technical documentation, pricing, and project programmes
  
  
• Monitor daily contractor activities to ensure compliance with safety, quality, schedule, and cost requirements
  
  
• Participate in weekly coordination meetings
  
  
• Stay informed of planned activities, work methods, and resource allocation
  
  
• Carry out daily inspections to ensure required standards are achieved
  
  
• Track and review contractors’ RFIs, submittals, and purchases, escalating to the Contracts Manager when required
  
  
• Ensure accurate and up-to-date status reporting
  
  
• Advise Contracts Manager on field variations, scope changes, or potential additional costs
  
  
• Ensure all correspondence with contractual significance is copied to the Contracts Manager
  
  
• Comply with Quality, Environment, Health & Safety (QEHS) requirements, processes, and documentation
  
  
• Apply QEHS policies in all aspects of your work
  
  
• Contribute to the achievement of QEHS objectives and continuous process improvement
  
  

The Package: Salary of at least €65,000 DOE plus package.
