Senior Mechanical Engineer Skills:
- Proven experience with a minimum of 5 years as a Mechanical Engineer on large-scale projects
- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems and design & build environments
- Experience managing mechanical design, installation, testing, and commissioning
- Knowledge of health & safety standards and construction regulations
- Excellent organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and engineering software such as AutoCAD, Revit or similar
- Proactive, detail-oriented approach with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment
- Experience delivering Data Centre projects is highly desirable
- Support the management of the mechanical systems package from design through installation, testing, and commissioning
- Review and coordinate design drawings, specifications, and submittals with consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams
- Monitor site works to ensure compliance with project requirements, quality standards, and safety regulations
- Assist in managing project schedules, tracking progress, and identifying potential risks or delays
- Prepare technical documentation, reports, and updates for internal and client meetings
- Support subcontractor management, including reviewing performance, manpower, and adherence to schedule
- Contribute to the implementation of QHSE standards across all mechanical activities
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and project stakeholders to ensure technical requirements and expectations are met
- Plan and develop a commissioning schedule for mechanical systems in coordination with other disciplines, subcontractors, client vendors, and the Cx team
- Assist with project close-out activities including testing, commissioning, snagging, and handover documentation
